Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds look happy as can be!
The duo walked the red carpet at the premiere of Lively’s latest film Another Simple Favor on Sunday, April 27, and looked as happy as ever. Lively, 37, was also joined by the movie’s director Paul Feig and costar Anna Kendrick.
The pair are still locked in a contentious legal battle with Lively’s It Ends With Us director and costar Justin Baldoni, but they haven’t let that stop them from enjoying life professionally and personally.
On Friday, April 25, Lively and Reynolds were spotted cheering on the Deadpool & Wolverine star’s Wrexham soccer team. “Let’s g⚽️ boys @wrexham_afc,” Lively wrote via Instagram Stories on Friday, April 25, smiling in a selfie with husband Reynolds, 48.
In the snap, Lively wore a team-branded baseball cap with a gray sweater, while Reynolds opted for an olive jacket and a pair of reading glasses.
The pair again showed up for the team on Saturday, April 26, at the team’s match against Charlton Athletic FC, with Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenney and Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman also in attendance. At one point, Reynolds sweetly gave his wife a kiss on the forehead as she wrapped her hands around his waist.
They also attended the Time100 gala two days before. “I have so much to say about the last two years of my life, but tonight is not the forum,” Lively said, an apparent allusion to the ongoing legal fight.
“What I will speak to separately, is the feeling of being a woman who has a voice today, and since I could speak, because of the pain, cautions and fight of the many women who have paved the way, and the men who stood beside them. Millions I will never know the name of.”
She added, “Because every life, every act, big or small, affects another. … My life was influenced most by my mother, [Elaine], who’s here with me tonight, an eternal optimist who’s always leaving me messages, hoopin’ and hollerin’ sayin’, ‘life’s just a bowl of cherries.’ But, at her urging and unwavering bravery, she wanted me to share with you that she is a survivor of the worst crimes someone can commit against a woman. I’ve watched her conceal her raw and undeserved shame my entire life, so, as her daughter, being asked to share this today is monumental. If we name it, we change it.”
Another Simple Favor will be available on Prime Video on May 1.
