Queensland police have charged a man with murdering a three-week-old baby boy who had died of his injuries in a Brisbane hospital.
The baby was brought to the Queensland Children’s Hospital in a critical condition on July 18, 2024.
The child died four days later in the hospital.
Detectives from Logan, south of Brisbane, recently received medical testing results that allegedly indicated the child died from internal injuries.
Police alleged those injuries were inflicted at an address on Rosemary Street, Greenbank, and on Monday they charged a 25-year-old man from Cleveland, who they said was known to the child, with murder.
The man was expected to appear at Brisbane Magistrates Court.
