A driver had his window smashed during a road rage incident in Perth’s south-east on Monday morning.
Footage of the incident shows a man pulling on the driver’s side door of a silver Toyota before using a long pole to smash the window on the southbound off-ramp of Roe Highway at Welshpool Road.
What prompted the incident remains unclear, but both drivers had exited their cars as an argument escalated, before the Toyota driver jumped back in and, in the process of driving off, hit a truck.
It was at that point the Focus driver allegedly smashed the Toyota’s window, with footage showing him run past the front of the car as the door swings open, before swinging with what appears to be a large metal pole.
Others get out of their cars as the window shatters, with one witness telling this masthead he was shocked at the incident, which took place just before 9am as commuters made their way along the busy road for the start of the work week.
Police attended the scene shortly after. WA Police have been contacted for more details about the incident.
