He said the group were in the home for about 10 to 15 minutes, and within an hour of them entering the property, police were able to take two teenagers into custody.

They were charged with 11 offences each, including five counts of rape, two counts of armed robbery and deprivation of liberty and enter dwelling with intent by break at night whilst armed in company.

The 15-year-old was charged with 13 offences, including five counts of rape, two counts of armed robbery, two counts of deprivation of liberty, obstructing a police officer, and possessing dangerous drugs.

They were scheduled to appear before the Cairns Childrens Court on Saturday.

Goan said on Friday that the two initially arrested were known to police, and it was believed they were responsible for other break and enters in the area.

On Friday afternoon, Premier David Crisafulli said the allegations were sickening and harrowing, and vowed to bring justice to the family.
