It’s all love between Rihanna and Ciara!
The pop stars reunited inside the 2025 Met Gala in New York City on Monday, May 5, to pose for a sweet photo, 14 years after their infamous Twitter feud.
Pregnant Rihanna, who revealed that she is expecting her third baby with ASAP Rocky before Monday’s red carpet event, and Ciara were spotted smiling for the cameras as Ciara rested a hand on the “Umbrella” singer’s baby bump.
The singers also posed for a group photo with their respective partners, Rocky and New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson, as well as Jeff Goldblum.
Rihanna, 37, and Ciara, 39, broke onto the music scene around the same time in the mid-2000s, but their friendship hit a very public roadblock in 2011 when Rihanna took offense to remarks Ciara made about her on E!’s Fashion Police.
At the time, the “Goodies” singer recalled to the late Joan Rivers that she had recently bumped into Rihanna at a party and “she wasn’t the nicest.” Rihanna clapped back via Twitter — now known as X — writing, “My bad ci, did i 4get to tip u?”
Ciara responded, “Trust me Rihanna u dont wanna see me on or off the stage,” prompting the “Diamonds” singer to share what has become an infamous clapback: “Good luck with booking that stage u speak of.”
The drama was short-lived as the two stars quickly made up. “Ciara baby, I love u girl! U hurt my feelings real bad on TV! I’m heartbroken! That’s y l retaliated this way! So sorry! #letsmakeup,” Rihanna tweeted at the time.
“Rhi u know its always been love since day 1! Doing shows/everything. you threw me off in that party! Apology accepted. Let’s chat in person,” Ciara wrote back.
Rihanna put her baby bump proudly on display at Monday’s Met Gala while showing off her interpretation of the “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” theme. She wore a bump-hugging gray and black gown with pinstripe detailing, a white collar with a maroon polka dot tie, a cropped black jacket and a wide-brimmed black hat. She completed the look with white-and-black brogue booties.
Rihanna and Rocky have been dating since 2020 and are parents of sons RZA, 2, and Riot, 21 months.
“It feels amazing, you know,” Rocky told The Associated Press of their baby announcement while strutting up the steps of the Met. “It’s time that we show the people what we was cooking up. And I’m glad everybody’s happy for us ’cause we definitely happy, you know.”
Ciara, meanwhile, is mom to four kids. She shares son Future Zahir, 10, with ex Future and three children with Wilson: daughters Sienna Princess, 8, and Amora Princess, 16 months, and son Win Harrison, 4.
