This morning, court reporter Rebecca Peppiatt reveals that a Perth mother who left her autistic, nine-year-old son at home alone, leading to him wandering the streets naked, has been told by a District Court judge that she “failed dismally in her parenting duties”.

The boy was naked and had been seen running out of the side gate of a nearby house by passing motorists who called police.
