Ciara Miller is fully embracing everything that Dancing With the Stars is throwing her way, including the emotional roller-coaster she can’t seem to get off.

“I just feel like at this point, I’m a crier,” Miller, 30, exclusively told Us on Tuesday, September 22, after another high-stakes week in the ballroom where she and dance partner Brandon Armstrong received a score of 18 out of 30 for their tango.

Miller joked that she recently told Armstrong, 32, “I need to up my Prozac.”

“I was like, ‘I’m on 40 milligrams. The limit is 80, I think, but I think there’s room to move up,’” she said with a laugh as Armstrong giggled beside her in the joint interview. “I think it’s so crazy because I know that I have anxiety, obviously, being on reality TV.”

The Summer House star teased, “I mean, it’s the 21st century. It’s 2026. If you’re not on, like, some type of med, like, what are we doing?”

Miller noted that even with her five years in front of the camera on the Bravo reality show and recent cohosting gig on Love Island USA‘s companion series, Aftersun, putting her dancing skills to the test on DWTS is different.

“I underestimated the impact of everything. And stage fright is a real thing. Being anxious is a real thing,” she shared.

According to Miller, the visceral side of the competition isn’t all bad.

“I feel like this experience already is helping to reinforce the confidence and like [to] get tunnel vision and stay focused,” she explained to Us. “I think the theme of like locking in, no matter the outside noise or the distractions, is going to be so vital for me.”

Armstrong was in total agreement, telling Us that “it’s so easy nowadays to run away from your problems” but DWTS “forces” contestants to address their fears — for better or worse.

“You can’t run away from the moment. You got to stay there. You got to take it on the chin, and you got to address it, and you got to be a grown-up about it and dance,” he said. “It’s something that’s so funny because it’s just dancing, but I always say it’s like the most serious, unserious thing in the world.”

The pro added that the show is “therapeutic in its own way” and that after two weeks in the ballroom, he is “happy” that he and Miller are “learning and getting better.”

While Miller admitted to being “so scared” ahead of her week two tango, she and Armstrong have quickly become judge Carrie Ann Inaba’s favorite couple, an accolade they don’t take lightly.

“We’re gonna [run] with this. That’s our baby. It’s our baby,” she said with a big laugh, before revealing that she is hopeful that all the judges will see that she is “working” and won’t stop trying as long as she’s in the competition for the mirrorball trophy.

Dancing With the Stars airs on ABC and Disney+ Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
