A crew of ruffians all decked out in black brutally attacked and robbed a man sleeping aboard a Manhattan subway train last week, police said.

Cops said the three fiends approached the 32-year-old victim while he was getting some shut-eye on a southbound 4 train near Union Square around 3:30 a.m. on Friday.

One of the brutes then started wailing on the sleeping man – and after that jacked his cellphone, cops said.

The cowards then ran off into the wind, but not before trying to take the man’s watch, police said.

EMS rushed the man to New York-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital, where he’s in stable condition, according to authorities.

Cops said they’re looking for young men between the ages of 18 and 25 years old.

Pictures released by cops show them dressed in shady, all-black outfits, with two of the fiends covering their faces.
