Taylor Swift shelled out $160,000 on the permit for her Madison Square Garden wedding — but might not necessarily have to cover NYPD pay or overtime tied to the massive event.
“Taylor Swift has paid already the cost of the permit that was filed, which was over $160,000, for that event and for the response to that event, ” Mayor Zohran Mamdani revealed during an unrelated press conference Friday.
But the mayor wouldn’t give a straight answer about whether the pop star, 36, had paid for any of the police overtime or costs for the extensive NYPD security detail, only saying she threw down for “the permit fees.”
Hundreds of cops were on hand outside the Midtown arena for Swift’s star-studded nuptials last week to NFL player Travis Kelce.
Swift’s net worth is estimated at $2 billion, according to multiple reports.
The NYPD and City Hall didn’t immediately return requests for comment regarding the cost of the police detail and associated overtime.
