Will Arnett will not be sharing any intimate details about his marriage to Amy Poehler, thank you very much.
“I don’t talk about potty stuff,” Arnett, 56, told listeners during the Monday, June 22, episode of the “SmartLess” podcast. “I don’t pick my teeth.”
Cohost and longtime friend Jason Bateman chimed in noting that Arnett has “never farted” in front of him.
“Well, it’s disgusting,” Arnett continued. “What are you talking about, man?”
Bateman, 57, said he and cohost Sean Hayes have “definitely” farted in front of each other.
“Willie doesn’t, he doesn’t,” Bateman added. “So then, Will, did you ever poo in front of Amy?”
Arnett wondered whether Bateman was “looking for clicks” while Hayes, 55, could be heard laughing.
“Hang on,” Bateman continued, “You were married to her, had two kids. You guys never went to the bathroom in front of each other?”
Arnett was married to Poehler, 54, from 2003 to 2016. They share sons Archie, 17, and Abel, 15.
“The question is, did I poo in front of Amy?” Arnett said. “It’s not a good question. I refuse to answer it. It’s none of your f***ing business.”
Hayes continued the conversation by asking Bateman if he poops in front of wife Amanda Anka.
“I mean, we don’t use the same potty,” he started. “If she needed to come in and ask me something important, she could and would. I don’t know if I would do that to her.”
Bateman continued, “She doesn’t poo. Never has. I don’t know how, it’s amazing.”
Bateman and Anka, 57, have been married since 2001. They share daughters Francesca, 19, and Maple, 14.
As the conversation moved away from poop, Bateman told listeners that he hadn’t seen Anka in nearly three weeks. According to Hayes, Anka was “jealous” that the “SmartLess” cohosts get to see her husband — and she doesn’t. However, they’ve been keeping her company.
“We saw her this weekend. I talked to her yesterday, and I saw her Saturday night,” Arnett said. “I’ve been spending a lot of time with her.”
He joked, “Let me say this. When you get home, she is worn out.”
Arnett did praise Anka — “all bits aside” — as the podcast continued.
“I do love your wife, Amanda, and we all do,” Arnett said. “She’s the f***ing greatest. She’s such a good friend. She’s so thoughtful and kind and sweet. She’s amazing.”
