A drunken Tesla driver crashed into scaffolding in Midtown, Manhattan early Wednesday, killing her 27-year-old passenger, police and law-enforcement sources said.

Alejandra Paharsingh, 27, was allegedly under the influence of alcohol when she careened the 2024 Tesla into a mailbox before striking scaffolding on Madison Avenue near East 42nd Street around 2:45 a.m., police said. 

She continued traveling several blocks east along East 42nd Street before stopping at the intersection of Second Avenue, the NYPD said.

Her passenger, Elise Suomi, also 27, of Harlem, was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead, cops said.

Paharsingh, of Connecticut, was hospitalized in stable condition and taken into police custody, authorities said. 

Police charged Paharsingh with vehicular manslaughter, leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death and driving while ability impaired. 

Paharsingh – who does not have a criminal record in the Big Apple – was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the deadly crash, according to law-enforcement sources.

Pictures from the scene show the heavily damaged Tesla at the intersection Wednesday morning.The relationship between Paharsingh and Suomi was not immediately known.
