Two people have been injured, and a car crushed, following a police chase in Middle Swan on Sunday night.
9News Perth reported the driver of a white Toyota Landcruiser ran a red light and then failed to stop for officers before crashing into a black Lexus at the intersection of Great Northern Highway and Reid Highway around 8pm.
The driver of that Lexus, a 30-year-old man, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital while his female passenger, 44, was treated for minor injuries.
The 36-year-old man who was driving the Landcruiser fled the scene of the crash but was later arrested.
He has since been released and has not yet been charged as police continue to investigate.
Detectives are calling on anyone with information to come forward.
