A young man has died in hospital a week after being assaulted south of Brisbane, with police still searching for the offender.
Police were called to reports of a large disturbance with multiple people on Discovery Boulevard in Bahrs Scrub, a suburb of Logan, about 2.15am on July 26.
Officers arrived minutes later and found significant damage to a number of vehicles and a house on the street.
People fled the scene, leaving behind a 21-year-old Redbank Plains man with significant head injuries on nearby Orchard Avenue.
He was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition and died of his injuries on Saturday, August 1.
Investigations into who assaulted the man were continuing on Sunday.
Police said they were seeking anyone with relevant information or footage from the area to come forward.
