Three U.S. Secret Service officials were placed on administrative leave on Tuesday pending an internal investigation into potential misconduct.

The agency’s Office of Professional Responsibility was just beginning its review on Tuesday and did not offer details about what the three officials were being investigated for.

The Secret Service public information office noted that the three officials were not working in law enforcement roles at the agency.
