An antisemitic thug charged with randomly slugging a rabbi in a Queens subway station is now a wanted man after skipping out on his arraignment.
Eric Zafre Grosso, 32, was due in court to face hate crime assault charges Wednesday in the unprovoked January attack — but ended up named on an arrest warrant after blowing off the proceedings.
“He was released on supervised release and the most recent … report says they have not heard from him or had any contact since Feb. 2,” Judge Germaine Auguste said in court.
“When was the last time you had any contact with your client?” she asked Grosso’s lawyer.
“Jan. 28,” the attorney said.
Auguste then issued a bench warrant for Grosso to be busted and hauled back to court.
Police said Grosso walked up to the victim near Queens Boulevard and 71st Avenue around 2 p.m. on Jan. 28, snarled, “F–k Jews,” and slugged the rabbi in the chest in an unprovoked attack.
The victim, a member of the Bukharian Jewish community, was on his way to temple.
NYPD cops, with the help of Shomrim Queens Safety Patrol, tracked the goon down at a nearby subway station shortly after the attack and charged him with with assault as a hate crime and aggravated harassment.
Grosso was cut loose on supervised release following the assault despite a request by the Queens District Attorney’s Office that he be held on $40,000 bail.
He was due back in court on Monday but did not show up, and was rescheduled to show up Wednesday.
