A man has been charged with murdering his baby girl and partner at a home south of Brisbane in a case that devastated the community.
Blake Seers was charged with the offences on Tuesday having regained consciousness days after being hit by a vehicle.
The man was struck outside the Woolworths on Beaudesert Beenleigh Road in Bannockburn, Logan, on the morning of March 12.
Officers attended his home on Belivah Road in nearby Belivah to alert family he had been hurt, but instead discovered the bodies of his partner Kate Paterson and 11-month-old daughter April.
Witnesses later reported the 38-year-old man had been seen running towards the road, and may have already had a neck injury when struck.
Detective Inspector Chris Ahearn said at the time the baby and mother were likely killed with an edged weapon.
On Tuesday, police confirmed Seers had been charged with two counts of murder.
After the car crash the alleged killer was unconscious in hospital, but police have confirmed he has since regained consciousness.
