To breaking news now and a serious crash involving three vehicles and a motorbike has forced the closure of Tonkin Highway southbound this morning.
The incident occurred around 5.40am near the Great Eastern Highway intersection in Bayswater.
At least one person has sustained critical injuries, WA Police said.
Emergency and towing services remain at the site.
Main Roads is encouraging drivers to seek an alternative route, or if already on the highway, consider exiting at Reid Highway or Morley Drive.
