Couple shot during alleged home invasion in Brisbane

A man and woman have been shot during an alleged early-morning home invasion in the south Brisbane suburb of Rochedale.

Police believe two men tried to break into a house on Fisher Street just after 4.30am on Saturday.

The man and woman inside – both in their 30s – were allegedly shot.

They were taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital, where they remain with non-life-threatening injuries.

The two invaders were allegedly seen leaving the property on foot.

The area remains a crime scene as investigations continue.

Anyone who witnessed the attack or has CCTV or dashcam footage from the area is urged to contact police.

The shots were fired minutes after a body was found with “critical injuries” about 15 kilometres away in a West End unit, prompting a murder investigation.
