The family of a security guard who was allegedly battered to death with a water bottle by a college swimming champion has released a heartbreaking statement as the victim was pictured for the first time.

Michael Dyer, 63, was allegedly killed by 20-year-old Legend Storer while on shift at the Sands of Kahana resort in Maui on August 5.

Storer is accused of striking him with a five-gallon water bottle before tearing off on a naked rampage around the neighborhood until cops caught him.
