Former NFL sideline reporter Michele Tafoya made it clear she was uninterested in Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show.
While watching the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots face off on Sunday, February 8, Tafoya, 61, revealed the unexpected activity she was planning on doing halfway through the biggest football game of the year.
“During halftime tonight, I’m going to do something I’ve never done before: fold laundry. #SuperBowl,” she wrote via X on Sunday.
When one follower questioned if she’s truly “never folded laundry” before, the former Sunday Night Football reporter clarified her initial post.
“I’m going to restructure my sentence,” she said in a separate X post. “Tonight, I’m going to do something I’ve never done during a Super Bowl halftime before: fold laundry.”
While it’s unclear if she chose another music option — perhaps Turning Point USA’s All-American Halftime Show — at halftime, there’s little to no doubt that Tafoya missed out on Bad Bunny’s star-studded performance at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
During his set, Bad Bunny, 31, brought out special guests including Lady Gaga, Ricky Martin, Pedro Pascal, Jessica Alba, Karol G, Alix Earle and Cardi B.
The joyous and high-energy affair also celebrated the island of Puerto Rico where he was born and its place in the American story.
Although the performance received some harsh reviews from some critics like President Donald Trump, an estimated 125 million people tuned into the actual broadcast on NBC.
“The Super Bowl Halftime Show is absolutely terrible, one of the worst, EVER!” Trump, 71, posted on Truth Social just minutes after the show concluded. “It makes no sense, is an affront to the Greatness of America, and doesn’t represent our standards of Success, Creativity, or Excellence. Nobody understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting, especially for young children that are watching from throughout the U.S.A., and all over the World.”
Performances aside, Tafoya — who is a candidate for United States Senate in Minnesota — couldn’t help but share her thoughts on the actual football game. (Tafoya was a longtime reporter who previously worked for NBC Sports and currently hosts a podcast.)
“Thinking @seahawks punter Michael Dickson should be @SuperBowl MVP,” she wrote via X after the athlete punted seven times for 335 yards at an average of 47.9 yards per punt.
After the Seattle Seahawks won the game and beat the New England Patriots in a 29-13 victory, running back Kenneth Walker III was ultimately named the Super Bowl MVP.
“Super Bowl Champs,” Walker, 25, wrote via Instagram after the game. “That s*** got a ring to it💍.”
While football season may be over, sports fans still have much to watch and look forward to. In addition to NBA All-Star Weekend kicking off in Los Angeles on February 13, the 2026 Winter Olympics are currently airing on the networks of NBC.
After Super Bowl LX ended on Sunday, Tafoya and her Mini Labradoodle tuned in to support Team USA’s figure skating team.
“Have I mentioned my dog watches TV?” she wrote via X on Sunday.
