Here were NYC’s hottest looks, coolest trends and funkiest finds on display during NYFW

If New Yorkers have learned anything these past few weeks, it’s that the Big Apple’s most fashionable will never let freezing temperatures and piles of dirty snow stop them from looking their best — especially during NYFW Fall/Winter 2026, which officially wraps up today.

During one of NYC’s most fashionable (and frigid) times of the year, the attention is often on the runway designs, but this past week, it was the showgoers’ street style that stopped traffic and turned heads.

While heading in and out of shows like Coach, Alice & Olivia and Altuzarra throughout Manhattan all week, fashion’s finest braved the cold and treated the slush-filled sidewalks like their runway, posing for cameras in everything from cozy fur jackets to effortless balloon pants and Jackie O-inspired pillbox hats.

The Post rounded up some of the most stylish show attendees who are putting their stamp on 2026’s hottest fashion trends.

Furry and fabulous

Nothing screams winter in NYC quite like a giant faux-fur coat, and these fashionistas took things up a notch by adding in chic matching accessories like hats, head scarves and belts.

A Jackie Kennedy-esque accessory

NYFW showgoers swapped their beanies and earmuffs for chic pillbox hats, the timeless accessory often worn by the late former first lady throughout the 1960s, in various fabrics and colors.

While some of today’s hat wearers kept their accessory more subdued in shades of black and white, others opted for vibrant colors like fiery red.

These are not your mother’s gaucho pants

Many fabulous fashion week attendees proved to have mastered the art of dressing warm and comfortable while also looking stylish, thanks to today’s modern version of the effortless gaucho pants, also known as balloon pants, which are high-waisted, voluminous trousers that taper at the ankle.

Neckties aren’t just for men

Channeling their inner Diane Keaton, many showgoers were seen wearing neckties — paired with full-blown suits— which have evolved from being a masculine staple into a versatile accessory for all.

Business on top, party on the bottom

NYFW-goers gave a whole new meaning to blazers, which are oftentimes viewed as a stuffy, rigid piece of fashion, no matter how one dresses it up.

Keeping with the menswear theme, blazers — in various colors, fabrics and structures — paired with skirts, tights and wide-leg pants were seen everywhere throughout the fashion-focused week.

Whimsical polka dots proved just how fun fashion can be

Polka dots were an unexpected trend spotted at NYFW that added some colorful fun to the cold and dreary streets of New York City.

These fashionistas turned heads in their bold choices — and looked good doing so.
