The Wesley Hospital has denied a gas leak prompted emergency teams to be called and the building to be evacuated, causing some surgeries to be delayed.
The Queensland Fire Department was called to the hospital on Coronation Drive in Auchenflower on Tuesday morning over reports of a gas leak.
The scientific unit that deals with hazardous materials was on the scene.
That night a UnitingCare Queensland spokesperson said a “formal incident response process” was carried out after several staff reported feeling unwell.
They said no gas leak was identified, and no one was injured.
A small number of surgeries were delayed due to the incident.
