Pink will prevail. The color that has caused courtroom controversy in the Madison Brooks rape case will be permitted when alleged rapist Desmond Carter appears before a judge later this month, court records show.

On Thursday, East Baton Rouge Judge Gail Ray denied a motion filed by Carter’s defense team to prevent spectators and Brooks supporters from wearing pink in the courtroom, according to a new court filing.

Brooks, 19, was a student at Louisiana State University who was allegedly gang-raped before she was hit by a car and killed after a night out in 2023.
