Muse singer Matt Bellamy has filed for divorce from wife Elle Evans after seven years of marriage.

According to court documents obtained by Us , Bellamy, 48, submitted a dissolution of marriage on Wednesday, August 12. The rock star cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. A date of separation was not listed but Bellamy and Evans, 36, reportedly broke up last year.

Bellamy is seeking legal and physical custody of his and Evans’ two children: daughter Lovella, 6, and son George, 2, per the filing. (The Grammy winner is also father to son Bingham, 15, whom he welcomed with ex-fiancée Kate Hudson .)
