Pauline Hanson says she is tired of listening to big business wanting “cheap labour”. There is a legitimate issue here, but it deserves a more sophisticated debate (“Migration cut worth the hit to the economy: One Nation”, September 16). Migration boosts headline GDP, which can tempt governments to keep increasing immigration rather than addressing the underlying economic problems.
