Only Starbucks app users have access to a new secret drink inspired by the 2026 Winter Olympics

Starbucks is giving 2026 Winter Olympic Games viewers a taste of what their favorite athletes are sipping.

The coffee chain just announced a new “hidden” drink to celebrate the Winter Olympics, and it’s only available exclusively through the app.

US customers can now get the Iced Brown Sugar Honey Americano, a Blonde Espresso with honey and topped with brown sugar cold foam and a dusting of cinnamon.

A representative for Starbucks told Tasting Table that the drink is “inspired by America’s coffee legacy,” and though the coffee giant operates in over 40 countries, the first location opened here in America, in Seattle, Washington.

They added that the Iced Brown Sugar Honey Americano is “crafted to energize fans as they cheer for their favorite athletes,” whether that be Team USA or another country.

Starbucks has also become the Official Coffee Partner of Team USA, and tied the hidden menu item to the launch of a new short film called “The Coffee Run,” which they filmed across the Alps.

The ad shows baristas as they go through the snowy mountains to deliver coffee to athletes — and you can see what the athletes who starred in it ordered.

The Olympic and Paralympic athletes featured in the commercial include figure skater Amber Glenn, bobsledder Elana Meyers Taylor, Nordic para skier Aaron Pike, and multi-sport athlete Oksana Masters.

Starbucks also shared what these star athletes’ go-to coffee orders are. Three-time national champion Glenn, for example, orders a Tall iced caramel macchiato with non-fat milk and an extra shot of espresso, while Taylor, who has won five Olympic medals, goes for a Grande pistachio latte with oat milk.

Masters, the most decorated US Winter Paralympian of all time with 14 medals in winter events, opts for a Grande cappuccino with extra foam and two extra shots, and Pike, a seven-time U.S. Paralympian, likes a Grande Americano with an added shot of espresso.

The Winter Olympic Games are ongoing, and the Paralympic Winter Games begin March 6 — and now anyone can watch them while sipping on a Team USA-inspired coffee.
