A police officer and a 36-year-old man have been rushed to hospital after the pair fell six metres at a shopping centre south of Brisbane on Wednesday afternoon.
Officers had cornered the man on a rooftop car park at Grand Plaza, in Browns Plains, shortly after 1pm.
Nine reported that police were speaking to the man when he fled over a wall. A pursuing officer then followed him over the wall.
The pair, who fell six metres, suffered serious injuries and were taken to hospital: the 36-year-old with head injuries, and the male officer with a shoulder injury.
Investigations are continuing under the oversight of the Ethical Standards Command.
