“Now that spring is here, I’ve been keeping track of the various local fêtes and fairs with the allure of trash, treasure and pre loved bric-a-brac,” writes Paul Taylor of Winston Hills. “At last count, I can look forward to a nursing home jumble sale, a school white elephant and a church charity bazaar, and the various charity market stalls in carparks across the district. There’s one, though, that has caught my eye – the Ugg Boot Car Boot Sale. I’ll be hotfooting there!”

Thinking she had developed a serious disease, we ran to the doctor, and after much poking and prodding, he pulled a green Fuzzy-Felt from her nose. The smell was horrible, and to this day we wonder how she did not complain more. She has always been very stoic.”
John Weir needn’t worry about a One Nation campaign against whale migration (C8), assures Caz Willis of Bowral: “Whales are internationalists, and I’m pretty sure they were here first.”
