Two suspected human smugglers led authorities on a 100-mph chase in Texas on Thursday before bailing out of their vehicle, with one allegedly carjacking a civilian at gunpoint, authorities said.

Helicopter video from US Customs and Border Protection’s Air and Marine Operations shows the high-speed pursuit unfolding along Interstate 10 in Fabens.

Authorities are seen pursuing the suspected human smugglers before their vehicle was disabled and both occupants fled on foot.

An official can be heard over radio communications saying the vehicle’s front right tire may have been damaged by a spike strip.
