‘The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’ Cast Supports Mary Cosby at Funeral for Her Son Robert Jr.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City stars showed their support to Mary Cosby during her son Robert Cosby Jr.’s funeral service.

During the Monday, March 9, episode of SiriusXM’s Radio Andy Live, host Andy Cohen confirmed that Robert’s funeral was held over the weekend.

Cohen, 57, said the cast, which includes Lisa Barlow, Meredith Marks, Heather Gay, Whitney Rose, Bronwyn Newport, Angie Katsanevas and Britani Bateman, was in attendance for the service on Saturday, March 7. Production for the Bravo show was also present to pay respects, as well as Real Housewives stars Kyle Richards, Cynthia Bailey and Shereé Whitfield.

“Those three are real ones,” Cohen said on the radio show.

Us Weekly confirmed late last month that Mary’s son, whom she shared with husband Robert Cosby Sr., died on February 23 after a suspected overdose. He was 23.

“Our beloved son Robert Jr. has been called home to the Lord,” Mary told Us in a statement. “Though our hearts ache, we take comfort in God’s promise and in knowing he is finally at peace. We are grateful for your prayers and trust in the Lord to carry us through this time of sorrow.”

Days later, Mary shared a social media tribute to Robert Jr.

“I’m going to miss you, Bubs ❤️🙏😢,” the Bravo star wrote via Instagram on February 28, adding hashtags for “God First,” “Love” and “Forever.”

An official cause of death for Robert Jr., who previously battled substance abuse issues, has not been revealed.

In light of Robert Jr.’s death, several of Mary’s fellow Housewives have offered their support and condolences.

“Thank you for sharing Bubbs with my family and the world,” Angie, 52, wrote via Instagram comment last month. “He touched many hearts and this loss has broken mine. I will forever remember his kindness towards [my daughter] Elektra, his handshake and eye contact, and his soft spoken voice.”

She added, “I am here for you. May God bless your family and may his memory be eternal. I love you, Mary.”

Bronwyn, 40, also replied, “I love you and your family and am here for you.”

Housewives executive producer Andy Cohen also sent his condolences to Mary’s family.

“I want to send all my love and heartfelt condolences to Mary Cosby and her family after news broke yesterday about the tragic passing of Mary’s son, Robert Jr.,” Andy, 57, said on a late February episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. “My heart breaks for Mary. I will always appreciate getting a small window into the unconditional love between Mary and Robert Jr.”

He added, “Mary, you did such a good job. I know their bravery and their vulnerability in sharing their story has helped and will continue to help countless people who are struggling.”

Mary and her son had multiple candid conversations about his addiction battle on RHOSLC.

“I immediately started blaming myself, because I thought, ‘You can’t judge him and his life and his choices,’” Mary exclusively told Us in a 2025 cover story. “I don’t believe in judging people. I’m just not a judger. I don’t like judging people, and I don’t like to do it.”

If you or someone you know is struggling with substance abuse, contact the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) National Helpline at 1-800-662-HELP (4357).
