Tony Hawk shuts down ‘nonsense’ rumors that his wedding was on Jeffrey Epstein’s private island: ‘Easily verifiable’

Skateboarding legend Tony Hawk shot down speculation that he got married on Jeffrey Epstein’s private island after his nuptials were mentioned in newly released documents related to the convicted pedophile.

Hawk, who has been married four times, laid out the “facts and timelines” of his wedding locations on Thursday after the document disclosed an FBI agent’s 2024 discussion surrounding alleged human trafficking on the island.

“I apologize if they don’t fit a narrative of nonsense,” Hawk, 57, wrote in a detailed post on his Instagram.

“1990: Married in Fallbrook, CA (At home). 1996: Married in San Diego, CA (At Hilton Hotel). 2006: Married in Fiji (On Tavarua Surf Island). 2015: Married in Ireland (At Adare Manor).”

Hawk married in third wife, Lhotse Merriam, on the Island of Tavarua in Fiji in 2006.

The pioneering skateboarder said wild rumors linking his 2006 wedding to the sex trafficker’s notorious Little Saint James estate started due to the coincidental names of one of his guests and Epstein’s younger brother Mark Epstein.

“One of the guests in 2006 shot photos of the Fiji ceremony and licensed them to Getty Images,” Hawk said. “His name is (coincidentally) Mark Epstein.”

Mark Epstein was credited on Getty Images for documenting several intimate moments from the ceremony, including the couple clasping hands during their vows, cutting into their cake, and embracing loved ones during the reception on the South Pacific island.

Hawk further shut down the rumors by saying that the photographer has “no relation” to the disgraced financier and is “an accomplished action sports photographer from Wyoming.”

The father of four doubled down, telling his followers that the information is “easily verifiable.”

“Facts are not fungible. Sorry you got pulled into the misinformation vortex @MarkEps @MarkEpsteinPhoto,” he concluded in his post.

Hawk’s name surfaced three times in the Epstein files released by the US Department of Justice last week — two of those mentions tied to Activision’s 2010 video game “Tony Hawk: Shred.”

However, rumors that his wedding took place on a sex trafficker’s private island appeared to have stemmed from a discussion that a special agent working as a Threat Intake Examiner at the FBI’s National Threat Operations Center (NTOC) had with a tipster.

“They would have sex with the young women and she was taken from Ireland and brought to Jeffrey Epstein’s Island when she was 13 years old,” the agent wrote in a synopsis email dated Oct. 22, 2024.

“(Redacted) said that she was there when Prince Edward was there and when Tony Hawk got married on the island.”

The DOJ released more than 3.5 million pages of investigative material on deceased sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein on Jan. 30 — which includes at least 2,000 videos and 180,000 images, as well as search warrants, previously sealed court documents, flight logs, and new emails.

The release comes months after Congress passed the Epstein Files Transparency Act in a bipartisan vote last November, and Trump signed it into law on Nov. 19.

Some of the notable figures whose names appeared were tech billionaire Elon Musk, former President Bill Clinton, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, Hollywood director Woody Allen and former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak.
