The deranged school shooter who massacred eight people in British Columbia made a “horrifying” video game in which players gunned down shoppers at a mall, it emerged Friday.
Jesse Van Rootselaar, 18 — the transgender killer who posted in online forums about the use of hormone therapy and powerful hallucinogens — also created a sick virtual “experience” on Roblox before his terrifying real-life rampage in Tumbler Ridge Tuesday, a rep for the company confirmed.
Rootselaar’s disturbing first-person shooter game involved a robot-like character picking up weapons around the shopping center and gunning down people as they fled.
The company has “removed the user account connected to this horrifying incident as well as any content associated with the suspect,” a Roblox spokesperson told The Post.
“We are committed to fully supporting law enforcement in their investigation.”
Van Rootselaar’s account and twisted game were first discovered by users in the online forum Kiwi Farms, who posted screenshots on X before Roblox removed the game, according to the tech news site 404media.com, which was first to report the story.
Roblox, which has 380 million players each month, is popular among children and allows kids under 13 to build “virtual worlds” that can be shared with others.
Rootselaar, who identified as transgender, had a large online footprint and a history of making wild comments about drugs and weapons on social media and other internet threads.
On Tuesday, Rootselaar killed his mother, Jennifer, and his 11-year-old stepbrother before storming into the Tumbler Ridge Secondary School and opening fire, killing five students, all just 12 and 13, and one of their teachers.
At least 25 more were injured.
He took his life after the brutal attack, which largely took place in the school library.
