Trump trolls world leaders again by re-sharing pic of map showing Canada, Greenland, Venezuela all part of US

Trump trolls world leaders again by re-sharing pic of map showing Canada, Greenland, Venezuela all part of US

President Trump has once again trolled world leaders by re-sharing a map that incorporates Canada, Greenland and Venezuela as part of the US.

The AI-generated mock-up picture uploaded on Truth Social Monday shows European leaders, including French President Emmanuel Macron and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, looking at the graphic as Trump shows off the acquired territory.

Trump did not caption the Truth Social post.

The president has consistently claimed Greenland, a Danish territory, is integral to America’s security in the Arctic region amid supposed threats posed by Russia and China.

Talks over Greenland’s future have been held but Greenland’s Foreign Minister Vivian Motzfeldt claimed the negotiations are not where the island “wants them to be.”

“There is going to be a long track, so where we are going to land at the end, it’s too early to say,” Motzfeldt said Saturday.

Lars Løkke Rasmussen, the Danish foreign minister, described the negotiations as constructive.

“Very constructive atmosphere and tone and new meetings are planned,” he said.

Trump, who describes him as the “tariff king,” threatened to clobber European nations with tariffs as part of the US’ efforts to acquire Greenland before retracting.

He previously signalled all options – including diplomatic and military – were on the table before later clarifying force wouldn’t be used to acquire the island.

Trump has previously taunted Greenlandic officials by sharing AI-generated photos that show him planting a US flag on the island.

At a black tie dinner at the Alfalfa Club earlier this month, Trump quipped the US will buy Greenland, rather than invade.

“We’re not going to invade Greenland. We’re going to buy it,” Trump said, according to an observer at the event and reported by The Washington Post.

“It’s never been my intention to make Greenland the 51st state. I want to make Canada the 51st state. Greenland will be the 52nd state. Venezuela can be 53rd.”

Trump has irked Canadian Prime Minister, Mark Carney, over his threats to make Canada the 51st state.

During a May sit-down in the Oval Office, Carney warned Trump that Canada is not for sale, and will never be for sale.

“As you know from real estate, there are some places that are never for sale,” he told Trump.
