Walmart just dropped a surprise beauty sale and the brands are pretty great

For major savings, people shop at Walmart — plain and simple. The retailer is known for its “save money, live better” mantra, its weekly rotisserie of Rollbacks and the ability to provide a great value to its consumer base.

In an economy that’s afloat with talk of tariffs raising prices on everyday goods, Walmart’s appeal is glamorous. But now, it’s even more glamorous.

Now through April 28, the Walmart Beauty Event offers price-conscious shoppers the ability to score premium beauty items for up to 50% off. Previously, Walmart hosted its Beauty Glow-Up Event in April 2024, but top brands like Olaplex, Sol de Janeiro and T3 on sale are a rarity, making this sale a surprise drop.

We know what you’re thinking: Is it too good to be true? These products are authentically sold by their brands’ official label, which you can figure out by hopping to each product’s landing page. With the Walmart Beauty Event, the retailer is truly stepping up its game by meeting shoppers where they’re at: in constant search for a good deal.

Further market data proves Walmart’s recent strides in the beauty category. Both Walmart and Amazon “dominate purchase intent clicks for the beauty and personal care category with 45.9% and 32.88%, respectively, according to [Emarketer’s] Industry KPIs data provided by MikMak,” as stated in an Emarketer report.

With Amazon consistently hosting beauty deal events each year, multiple times a year: Prime Day in July, the Big Spring Sale in March and Prime Big Deal Days in October — this Walmart sale is the opportune time to score the beauty industry’s most elite brands and products.

Brands that we’re particularly excited to be on sale include Juicy Couture for its fragrances, T3 for its professional-grade hair tools and Sol de Janeiro for its skincare and body care products that transport its brand fans to the tropics.
