A wanted Wisconsin man led deputies on a 12-mile high-speed chase before bailing from a moving car and vanishing into a cornfield, sparking a five-hour manhunt that ended with a K-9 and drone-assisted takedown.

According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office in Wisconsin, the high-speed case began at 2:26 p.m. Aug. 17, when authorities were told that the 40-year-old suspect had fled from the City of Fond du Lac Police Department.
