Wild-eyed Theranos fraudster Elizabeth Holmes appears in unsettling secret doc: ‘I’m not deceiving you’

A top-secret documentary about disgraced Theranos fraudster Elizabeth Holmes premiered Sunday at the Telluride Film Festival — featuring the wild-eyed convicted liar unsettlingly telling the crew, “I’m not deceiving you.”

The film — titled “You Can See Everything” — was filmed in secret by directors Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim and follows the Silicon Valley scammer around in the weeks before she was sent to a Texas federal prison camp in May 2023.

The doc was aired at the Colorado film festival Sunday night, surprising the audience at the Werner Herzog Theater, who didn’t know exactly what they would be watching because the screening had been kept under wraps all week, Vanity Fair reported.

Before it started, the audience was required to hand over their cell phones.

“Thirty-four days before she’s sent to prison, notorious Silicon Valley founder Elizabeth Holmes invites a skeptical film crew to document her every move,” a synopsis of the almost three-hour doc reads.

“What begins as an intimate portrait of an enigmatic felon becomes a mind-bending three-year journey into the abyss.”

A trailer was also released on YouTube to coincide with the film festival premiere.

In it, a wide-eyed Holmes insists in an awkward interaction with Canadian comic Fielder that he can trust her.

“I’m not that person. I can promise you that. I don’t have anything to deceive you on,” she said, while rocking her baby with her foot.

“Of course, I’m not deceiving you. I’m engaging with you as a human being. Why would I deceive you? There’s no reason for me to do that,” she added.

Fielder, who listened intently, nodded and said, “Okay. All right. Okay. Good chat.”

The pair then smiles awkwardly at other during a brief silence.

“You’re being real now?” Fielder asks.

“I’m always being real,” Holmes responds, grinning.

The doc is co-directed by Fielder and the filmmaker, Lance Oppenheim. Oppenheim is known for the documentaries “Some Kind of Heaven” and “Spermworld.”

The trailer sparked a flurry of reactions online, with viewers left both excited and unsettled.

Dozens were quick to point out online that Holmes failed to blink during the sofa exchange.

“No blinking ever is wild,” actor Blake Cooper Griffin, who starred in Ryan Murphy’s “Dahmer — Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,” wrote on Instagram.

“She doesn’t blink,” former MSNBC journalist Katie Phang also noticed.

“This level of eye contact would send me into a spiral of no return,” another viewer said, disturbed by the intense exchange.

Some likened Holmes’ behavior to that of a robot, while others said the documentary has the hallmarks of a “horror film.”

“This s–t is stressing me out so badly already,” another viewer said.

One social media commentator even likened Holmes to Pennywise the clown, made famous by Stephen King’s 1986 novel “It.”

“Is Elizabeth Holmes gonna get nominated for Best Actress cause that was more unsettling than [Robert] Pattinson as Chris Hansen,” another quipped, referring to the psychological crime thriller “Primetime,” which was also directed by Oppenheim.

Many joked about the timing of its release, as it is due to hit theatres in October — right in time for Halloween.

Holmes, the founder of the now-defunct blood testing startup, was convicted in 2022 on four counts of wire fraud and conspiracy for cheating investors. She was ordered to pay $452 million in restitution.

Prosecutors said Holmes lied to investors from 2010 to 2015 by promising Theranos’ technology could run many medical tests on a single drop of blood from a finger prick.

In November 2022, she was sentenced to 11 years and three months behind bars and is housed inside the Federal Prison Camp in Bryan — the same lockup which is home to Jeffrey Epstein’s madam, Ghislaine Maxwell.

Holmes, however, is eligible for release on Dec. 30, 2031 after having a year shaved off her sentence.

Inmates can have time cut from their sentences for good behavior for participating in prison programs.

Holmes previously told People she earns 31 cents an hour for teaching inmates how to apply for jobs.

She also said she taught French and helped those looking for work apply for government support.

The convicted fraudster maintains her innocence.

“I refused to plead guilty to crimes I did not commit,” she told People in February 2025.

Holmes lobbied President Trump to commute her prison sentence and filed a request at some point last year.

The case is still pending, according to Office of the Pardon Attorney records viewed by The Post.
