A group of rowdy bikers pulled off a wild Friday night street takeover at a busy Queens intersection — five months after a wild car meet-up caused chaos at the same location.
At least a half-dozen hooligans invaded the corner around 69th Street and Eliot Avenue in Middle Village, revving their engines, burning rubber and raising clouds of smoke at a Mobil gas station as motorists and a city bus cruised by the disruptive scene, according to footage posted on X by city Councilman Phil Wong.
“My office was in touch with the 104th Precinct last night regarding a group of motorcycles causing street takeover nonsense near 69th Street and Eliot Avenue,” Wong wrote Saturday. “Officers responded within minutes, saw the group leaving and put the information out citywide.”
On April 18, more than 100 vehicles clogged the same intersection for a late-night takeover, with cars whipping around on the street and burning rubber, including one maniac waving a Palestinian flag who came within inches of slamming into bystanders.
The NYPD arrested 22-year-old Asil Assaidi at the scene, hitting him with reckless endangerment, riot, criminal mischief and other charges, according to police.
Records show that the Assaidi is due back in court on the case Oct. 19.
Similar illegal car meet-ups have caused headaches across the city.
In May, seven people were arrested at an early-morning car meet-up in the Eastchester section of The Bronx after police responded to reports of drag racing and an unruly mob.
In November, Justin Aguilera, 19, was charged with gang assault, riot and trespassing at a Malba street corner in Queens after a mob set a car on fire and attacked passers-by, police said.
Prosecutors said he was allegedly part of a cowardly mob that attacked a homeowner and his wife.
