A woman has been killed in a drive-by shooting in south-west Sydney.
Emergency services were called to a home on Dickens Road in Ambarvale about 11pm on Monday after reports a woman had been shot.
When officers arrived, they found a 65-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to her leg. She was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics but died at the scene.
Several shots were fired from an unknown vehicle, which fled the scene, police said.
Police said two other people in the home – a 34-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman – were uninjured. It is not clear who the target of the shooting was.
Strike Force Apslawn has been launched to investigate the shooting.
