A terrified woman’s screams for helped kicked off a frantic search for a missing jet skier in Long Beach.

The woman was discovered clinging to some rocks off shore after she and her riding companion, a 54-year-old male somehow got knocked off the jet ski they were riding.

The duo had entered the water as part of a group of jet skiers earlier that evening, according to investigators.

The U.S. Coast Guard and the Long Beach Fire Department received 911 calls of two missing riders near Alamitos Bay Landing around 10:00 p.m.

Fishermen in the area heard a woman yelling for help and quickly notified the LBFD around 10:30 p.m.
