The final weekend of March has arrived, and Peacock has a genuine blockbuster from 2025 to close out the month on a high note.
Wicked: For Good may not have gotten much love at the Oscars, but it was another blockbuster hit, and it’s likely to reign supreme in streaming as well.
That’s just one of Watch With Us‘ picks for the three best Peacock movies to binge-watch this weekend.
Our other selections include an underrated Western and an all-time great action comedy.
‘Wicked For Good’ (2025)
Wicked: For Good wraps up the adaptation of the hit Broadway musical that turned The Wizard of Oz upside down. Following the events of the first Wicked, Elphaba Thropp (Cynthia Erivo) has been branded as the Wicked Witch of the East by the Wizard (Jeff Goldblum) and Madame Morrible (Michelle Yeoh). Elphaba’s best friend, Glinda (Ariana Grande), knows that the charges are a lie, but still sides with the Wizard to maintain her newfound position and power.
Regardless, the bond between Elphaba and Glinda still exists, even though it’s about to be tested by their mutual love for the same man, Fiyero Tigelaar (Jonathan Bailey). As the timeline of the film catches up with The Wizard of Oz, Elphaba is beset on all sides, while a newcomer to Oz, Dorthy Gale (Bethany Weaver), may succeed at killing the so-called Wicked Witch, where all of the Wizard’s minions failed.

‘News of the World’ (2020)
Jason Bourne filmmaker Paul Greengrass took a step outside of the action genre when he cowrote and directed Paulette Jiles‘ Western novel, News of the World. Tom Hanks stars as Captain Jefferson Kyle Kidd, a former Confederate officer who now makes his dimes by traveling from town to town and reading the news for people. It’s a solitary life until he meets a young girl named Johanna (Helena Zengel).
Johanna was kidnapped and raised by the Kiowa tribe, and now only speaks the tribe’s language. Although Johanna has few, if any, memories of her life before the Kiowa, Jefferson is charged with the responsibility of escorting the girl to her only living relatives hundreds of miles away. It’s a dangerous journey for one man, much less a man and a child. In order to survive, Jefferson and Johanna will have to learn to trust each other.
News of the World is streaming on Peacock.
‘Beverly Hills Cop’ (1984)
Have you ever seen Eddie Murphy at his peak? If not, then check out Beverly Hills Cop, the film that truly made Murphy a movie star. This film set the tone for action comedies over four decades ago, and very few films have lived up to the high standards that it set. Murphy leads the cast as Detective Axel Foley, a one-man wrecking crew in Detroit’s police department. But when Axel’s friend, Mikey Tandino (James Russo), is murdered, he’s forced to take justice into his own hands.
The trail of Mikey’s killers leads Axel to Beverly Hills, where he quickly runs afoul of the local police. Detective Billy Rosewood (Judge Reinhold) and Sergeant John Taggart (John Ashton) have their hands full trying to keep Axel contained and out of trouble. They don’t know what real trouble is, but Axel’s about to give them a real education.
