They’re hot for Scots.
Boston women who spent last week partying with charming Scottish guys in town for the World Cup are predicting a “baby boom” in nine months.
Single ladies were swept off their feet by Scottish soccer fans — proclaiming their chivalry and cheerful pub vibes had “restored their faith in men,” according to social media posts.
One Beantown gal posted an image of a photoshopped throng of babies dressed in kilts, predicting “Wee World Cup babies.”
“Bostonians known for their Irish Heritage is welcoming the Scots, their Celtic cousins, especially the rowdy fun loving Scots, there soon will be a Scottish baby boom in Boston,” she declared on X.
Other another Boston sports fan said she expects to see an influx of newborns come early next spring.
“100% the 2027 Boston baby boom is going to go crazy. Aquarius’ everywhere..maybe a few Pisces in the mix if we’re lucky,” she wrote on X.
Thousands of hard-parting Scottish soccer fans flew to Boston to watch their national team beat Haiti last weekend — marking the first time Scotland had been to the World Cup in nearly 30 years.
Single gals in Boston soon flooded social media sharing videos of themselves drinking, dancing and partying with jovial, kilt-sporting Scots.
“I may not be happily married but at least I’m single while the Scottish are in town for the World Cup,” one woman wrote.
One gal reportedly even set up a Scots-centric dating event attended by nearly 100 women.
Other singles took to social media to gush about being swept off their feet by men from the land of highlands and haggis.
“The vibes the Scots have been bringing to Boston were the vibes we needed,” one woman posted along with a selfie of her laughing with a Scottish guy.
One Scottish soccer fan posted a viral video of himself carrying a woman on his back through the streets of Boston.
“If he won’t, a Scottish man will,” reads the post, which had raked in more than 70,000 likes as of Friday.
Another woman declared, “If I was a single girly living in Boston right now… go by the bars. If you don’t go, you’re doing something wrong because you could find a nice Scottish man.”
An estimated 50,000 Scottish fans flocked to the East Coast last week, and many stayed through this week ahead of Scotland’s second match against Morocco at Boston Stadium Friday afternoon.
