Chipotle is giving away 100K free meals during the Super Bowl — here’s how to score one

Don’t fumble this delicious deal.

Chipotle is planning to give away $1 million of free food during the Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 8.

Rather than airing a commercial during the big game between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots, the company is asking football fans to head to Instagram for the chance to score free Chipotle.

After halftime and before the third quarter, Chipotle will post a 30-second Instagram Reels video featuring a one-time drop of to $1 million in free entrée codes.

The video, titled “The Chipotle Realest 30,” will feature a text-to-claim code, and the first 100,000 fans to text the code to 888222 will receive a free entrée.

Chipotle’s in-game activation is meant to highlight their “real food made with real ingredients without artificial colors, flavors or preservatives” as a juxtaposition to the AI-generated ads that air during the Super Bowl.

“With our real ingredients, we don’t use any artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives on our menu—so when AI shows up in a TV ad after halftime, we’re seizing that one moment to reward fans with what they really want: real food,” Interim Chief Marketing Officer of Chipotle Stephanie Perdue said in a statement.

The free entrée code can be used for a burrito, burrito bowl, salad, quesadilla and tacos, and will be valid until Thursday, Feb. 12.

Chipotle has also added limited-time items to the menu just for the Big Game.

Through Sunday, Feb, 8, Chipotle is adding nachos to its digital menu for the first time ever with three Game Day Nacho Hacks, available exclusively on the app or website.

The Nacho Hacks, inspired by Chipotle fans’ creative ways to order from the chain, are a customizable assortment that can be ready for pickup in as little as 10 minutes and are shareable for groups of three to four people.

Game Day Nacho Hack options include:

• The Game Day Nacho Hack with Chicken: 2 High Protein Cups of Adobo Chicken, 2 large bags of chips, 2 large sides of Queso Blanco, 2 large sides of guac, 2 large sides of salsa (roasted chili-corn salsa and fresh tomato salsa).
• The Game Day Nacho Hack with Steak: 2 High Protein Cups of steak, 2 large bags of chips, 2 large sides of Queso Blanco, 2 large sides of guac, 2 large sides of salsa (roasted chili-corn salsa and fresh tomato salsa).
• The Game Day Nacho Hack: 2 large bags of chips, 2 large sides of Queso Blanco, 2 large sides of guac, 2 large sides of salsa (roasted chili-corn salsa and fresh tomato salsa).
