Fire guts house in Stratton overnight

To overnight news now and a home in Perth’s south-east has been gutted by fire, leaving nothing but charred ruins to sift through for the owners.

The blaze was sparked at a unit on Burton Retreat in Stratton just after midnight.

Fire crews took less than an hour to extinguish the fire, stopping it from jumping to neighbouring properties.

The cause is unknown.
