A man was swept away by floodwaters in San Bernardino Tuesday after clinging to the top of his truck, leading to a frantic rescue effort.
The man had been sitting on the roof of the vehicle in the Devore neighborhood as heavy rains again pounded Southern California late Tuesday night.
As rescue crews arrived shortly before 11:30 p.m, they watched the man get carried away by the rushing water.
Crews had to stop searching for the man after two hours due to the weather.
They resumed the search on Wednesday morning.
