Fresh details on new In-N-Out planned for Southern California’s B outdoor mega project bigger than Central Park

New details have finally come out on the newest outpost for cult-favorite In-N-Out Burger, and it’s landing smack-dab in the middle of a $1 billion mega project designed to dwarf Manhattan’s Central Park.

The Irvine-based burger behemoth is planting its flag at the Great Park in Irvine, a sprawling 1,300-acre redevelopment of a former Marine Corps air station — as previously reported by The Post.

The new burger joint will anchor “The Canopy,” a 12-acre, 90,000-square-foot shopping and dining area that will include restaurants, grocery stores and retail spaces designed to be an “all-day destination.”

The 3,860-square-foot location will feature the chain’s iconic mid-century meets classic Americana aesthetic, a 500-square-foot outdoor patio, and a drive-thru lane designed to accommodate 33 vehicles, according to documents from the city of Irvine’s planning commission.

Located at 7900 Great Park Boulevard, the drive-thru will have two lanes that ultimately merge by the time you get to the pickup window, and will be able to handle the inevitable stampede of Double-Double addicts.

A sign in front of the construction of the site reads “here soon,” according to photos published by The Orange County Register.

“Having opened our first Irvine restaurant nearly 35 years ago, we’re grateful to have been part of the community and look forward to continuing to serve our customers with our second location in the city,” In-N-Out’s chief operating officer Denny Warnick wrote in an email to the outlet.

Still, the new location isn’t expected to open for many months.

The $1 billion Great Park mega-project in Orange County is set to transform the old military base into what could become one of the biggest urban parks in America — complete with lakes, museums, shopping, an amphitheater and more.

Alongside In-N-Out, confirmed tenants include Canadian Asian grocery giant T&T Supermarket, Philz Coffee, H&H Bagels, Free People Movement and several buzzy Asian food concepts.
