A pair of men’s spas are accused of offering cheapie sex acts to undercover cops in a sting operation, according to lawsuits filed by the city on Wednesday.
One spa located in Times Square and another near Stuytown allegedly offered undercover cops sex acts for less than $100 — including some specific acts as an la carte option — following their massages earlier this year, court filings claim.
“These establishments are flouting the law and we’re moving to shut them down,” said spokesperson for the city law department, Nichola Paolucci. “Preserving quality of life for New Yorkers is a priority for the city”
Clandestine officers visited the Times Square Men Spa on West 44th Street twice in January, with masseuses offering the undercover cops a massage for $50, plus “manual stimulation of the penis” for an additional $50, court documents claim.
The super for the building told The Post that the dingy, basement-level spa is “a business… I don’t know what goes on there.”
Workers inside the spa denied any hanky panky, as did a sign that specifically said: “No Hanky Panky, Please keep your Under pant ON.”
“I’ve never seen that happen here,” one worker said, shaking his head, with another saying “it doesn’t go on here.”
Across town sits New East Men Spa on First Avenue and East 16th Street — steps from a school — where officers visited in January and February this year, court documents show.
Undercovers at both visits were offered a nominally cheaper massage at $48, but were told to pay an East Side premium of $85 if they wanted any additional stimulation, the lawsuit alleges.
On Thursday, a man sat at a desk inside the spa with a receipt book and said “oh, no, no, you got the wrong one, not here,” when a Post reporter entered.
After he said he didn’t know who the manager was, another man came from a back room, put away the receipt book, placed his fingers on his lips and motioned for the reporter to leave.
“There was another owner there but he left,” a neighbor said. “The new owner came after COVID. I always see two guys over there — I don’t know what they do over there.”
