Wild videos show hundreds of spring breakers running wild during a teen takeover of a Wisconsin mall, with at least 13 people arrested as numerous fights broke out.
Hundreds of masked and hooded teens ran amok at Bayshore mall in Glendale on Sunday, after the takeover was glorified on social media, deliberately flouting a policy that bans unaccompanied children.
“Come guys it’ll be fun,” the Instagram page teen takovversss wrote.
Videos showed teens throwing aimless punches as they scrapped in the mall’s parking lot, while onlookers egged the brawlers on.
“Get her! Hit her!” one witness was heard shouting in a video shared on Facebook.
Girls were seen pulling hair and tussling in the skirmishes that some online branded “so embarrassing.”
Other videos show young men sprinting away as cops rushed to the mall to try to restore order.
Police squads and mall security staffers spent hours trying to get the rowdy crowd to disperse, WTMJ-TV reported.
Arrests were made on charges of disorderly conduct, battery, and resisting arrest, according to a Glendale police spokesperson.
A mall spokesperson said no reports of injuries were received.
Before the takeover, Bayshore bosses had warned teens about the mall’s policy that barred anyone 18 from shopping alone without an adult after 3 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Adults over 21 can keep an eye on a groups of four under-18s.
Teen takeovers have been promoted on social media this spring break, prompting police forces across the US to be on alert.
Rowdy teens caused chaos in downtown Chicago last week and their shenanigans forced officials to roll out an emergency curfew.
