‘I was mocked’: United passenger ‘humiliated’ after getting soaked by stream of unidentified liquid during flight

This redefined being in the jet-stream.

A United Airlines passenger was left “wet and humiliated” after getting soaked by a stream of unidentified liquid aboard a recent flight from Houston to Chicago Sunday, as seen in a viral Instagram clip.

“I was soaked from head to undies LITERALLY…embarrassed is an understatement,” Kevin Glover, 39, captioned the clip of the mortifying incident. He added that this inflight trickle reportedly “continued for the duration of the flight.”

In the wild clip, Glover is seen sitting in his seat as a small trick of mystery liquid cascades onto his baseball cap, splashing onto the front of his sweatshirt.

The clip ends with the miserable-looking flyer pressing a wad of paper towels against the ceiling in an attempt to stop the source of the onboard waterfall.

The Post reached out to United for comment.

The Cincinnati resident said he was asleep aboard the aircraft as it sat at the gate, when all of sudden, he was awoken by droplets hitting him on the head, People reported.

“I felt a drip and I thought it was something with my earphones. I heard a drip and it kind of woke me up a little bit,” the IT system told the outlet. “Then literally as they pushed back, this water just, it wasn’t a drip, it was like a string of water just came down and hit me.”

Eventually, the sopping-wet flyer became fed up and hit the call button to alert the flight attendants, but they didn’t respond for quite some time.

Eventually, a crew member came by and handed the Ohioan some paper towels, which he used to staunch the stream.

However, that was just the tip of the iceberg. Glover reportedly nodded off again, only to be awoken 30-40 minutes later by a second trickle.

“It was a good five or six-second stream, and some drips, and it got to the point where it startled my neighbors next to me,” the beleaguered traveler recalled. “It dripped on them, because it bounced off my hat.”

At that point, the flight attendant to return and checked the overhead bin for the source but didn’t find anything, prompting them to speculate that it could be air cabin condensation.

Glover became “paranoid” about any potential health risks from his sky-high shower.

Left with little other recourse, flight attendants attempted to stem the tide by shoving napkins, only to have their makeshift “dam” burst, releasing the pent-up liquid.

The ensuing 20-second pour soaked Glover’s hoodie, pants, underwear and even doused his Samsung phone so badly he was “surprised it survived.”

Despite his multiple soakings, the air staffers reportedly never offered to move him. Upon landing in Chicago, they recommended he take it up with a gate agent.

To add insult to sogginess, he said that multiple people stared and recorded him on their phones as he was walking up the jet bridge.

Glover filled out a complaint form and sent it in.

However, when United called him a day later, they only offered him a $167 refund for that leg of the flight along with a digital flight credit, which Glover declined as he felt he was owed reimbursement for the entire journey was well as multiple credits.

Glover says he’s still steaming mad over United’s dismissive attitude to the mortifying ordeal.

“I was disregarded. I was mocked. I was wet and humiliated,” the passenger wrote in the caption. “I was treated as if their leaky ceiling was my fault and issue to resolve.”

He added that he shared the video, not for attention, but so flyers faced with similar predicaments won’t be “overlooked” in the future.

“Passengers deserve clear communication, safety, and accountability every time we fly,” Glover declared. “@united Shame on you.”
