Inside Lenny and Lisa Hochstein’s Ongoing Legal Battle 3 Years After Settling Divorce

Just because The Real Housewives of Miami star Lisa Hochstein is divorced from Lenny Hochstein doesn’t mean their legal battles are over.

After news broke that Lisa, 43, was facing criminal charges for allegedly “intercepting” conversations with her ex-husband, Us Weekly obtained court documents that show what the exes continue to disagree over after reaching a settlement agreement in 2023.

According to court documents filed on April 3, Lisa asked for temporary attorney’s fees and other costs to be covered after Lenny, 59, objected to a court’s recommended order regarding long-disputed valuable belongings in their divorce.

She claimed Lenny “continues to litigate this matter to no end to exert financial pressure on [me].”

Lisa’s legal team also claimed that Lenny has admitted in writing that he has a net worth of $175 million and that the plastic surgeon has “further demonstrated his extraordinary wealth through written statements.”

As for Lisa’s finances, the Bravo reality star stated in court documents that her “income is uncertain and inconsistent.”

“While she has previously earned income as a reality television personality, her contract has not been renewed, and any future income is contingent upon brand partnerships, which are inherently unpredictable and sporadic,” court documents stated. “[She] should not be forced to invade her assets to defend this litigation. The disparity in financial resources between the parties is substantial and undeniable.”

On March 18, news broke that The Real Housewives of Miami had been put on pause by Bravo. As a result, the network is not moving forward with an eighth season at this time.

In February, the court made a recommendation on property rights after Lenny alleged years ago that Lisa removed items from the home they formerly shared beyond what was permitted, including two $40,000 Marco Grassi paintings, Montblanc pens and other furnishings.

“Whatever it is that she has taken, I’m saying give it back,” a judge said, per court records from the February 11 hearing. “I’m basically saying they need to comply with the settlement agreement. According to the settlement agreement, the majority of the items were to remain with Mr. Hochstein in the home.”

In June 2023, Lenny and Lisa — who share two children —  entered into a settlement agreement, which the judge said they need to follow. This year, however, both parties continue to battle it out over specific property.

According to the recommended order, Lisa is allowed to keep, in part, a paper towel handle, coffee cups, plates, trays, water glasses, wine glasses, Ralph Lauren cutlery set, pillows, a Snoopy sculpture, tic-tac-toe ornament, their daughter’s bedroom furniture and a Fendi round table.

As for Lenny, he is able to hold onto Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor pictures, vases, fabric napkins, pink chairs, pink pillowcases, Fendi pillows, three Campbell Soup paintings and a picture of Lisa among other items.

In a February 26 court filing, obtained by Us, however, Lenny voiced his concern over how some items were shared.

“The recommended order directs division and turnover of specific furnishings and artwork more than three years after the filing of the underlying motion,” Lenny’s legal team claimed in court documents. “This remedy is inequitable and impractical. Dr. Hochstein testified that he has already replaced substantial portions of the furniture at issue. Ordering physical return of items years later does not restore him to his original position and does not meaningfully remedy the loss. Where personal property has been wrongfully removed and subsequently replaced, the appropriate remedy is valuation and monetary compensation, not delayed turnover of used furnishings.”

The judge found that Lisa took property she reasonably believed she was entitled to under their settlement agreement. The judge also ruled that Lenny and Lisa would pay their own attorney’s fees and costs, per the court’s recommended ruling.

Lisa’s divorce drama with Lenny has been put back in the spotlight after news broke that the Miami resident and her ex-boyfriend, Jody Glidden, are facing one count of interception of wire, oral, or electronic communications.

According to court documents obtained by Us,, Lisa and Glidden “unlawfully and intentionally” intercepted, tried to intercept or tried to have someone else intercept “oral statements by Lisa’s ex-husband, Leonard ‘Lenny’ Hochstein, and those Lenny spoke with” between March 12 and March 31, 2023.

In response to the charges, Lisa and Glidden’s lawyers released a statement to Us that noted, “This matter is part of a contentious divorce proceeding and does not belong in criminal court.”
