Influencer Jen Hamilton is focusing on launching a new fashion brand based around sisterhood in the wake of her separation from estranged husband Brian Hamilton.
“One thing that I love to do is take something terrible that is happening and turn it into something good for other people,” Jen, 35, shared via Facebook on Wednesday, July 23. “What I recognized through this process is that I am so fortunate to be able to get out of a situation that I didn’t need to be in because I have the resources to do so. So many women do not have that.”
On June 15, Jen released a statement that she’d written with Brian to announce that they’d separated after weeks of speculation about their marriage.
“Yes, we are separating,” they wrote. “This comes with enormous pain for the both of us but also gratitude for the 15 years of shared history, love, and friendship. What we are committed to is loving each other well through this transition and placing the wellbeing of the family we created at the center.”
Their statement continued, “We are hoping our paths diverging in physical location will make space and room for mental healing for the other. We still are committed to being a team. We even wrote this together (and without chatgpt). We both want to be very clear. This wasn’t about falling out of love. That’s why this is so devastating. It was about recognizing that sometimes the most loving thing you can do is give someone space to figure out complex things. And that’s exactly what we are doing.”
In her latest video, Jen officially unveiled her Sisterhood of Solidarity fashion line where “100 percent of the proceeds will go to charities that help women rebuild their lives.”
The Birth Vibes author’s collection features empowering slogans such as, “I Survived,” “Choosing Myself Today,” and “G.Y.A.U. (Get Your Ass Up),” as well as depictions of a phoenix rising from the ashes in a variety of colors. Fans can also purchase sticker collections and handbags featuring similarly empowering slogans.
“You can’t not get, ‘Nipples in the Wind, Courage in My Heart,’” Jen joked about one of her iconic catchphrases.
Jen reiterated that 100 percent of the money generated from “every single piece of merch on [her] entire website” will go to charity through the end of August.
“I solemnly swear that you are not financing my life [by buying products],” she insisted, in addition to promising to make her own donation to the charities.
She concluded her video with a shout out to the “dozens and dozens and dozens of women” who reached out to ask for help.
“This is how we’re doing it,” she noted. “I wanna help everybody and this is the best way I know how to help as many people as possible.”
The launch of Jen’s fashion line comes on the heels of a series of empowering posts about moving into the next phase of her life. In a Tiktok on Tuesday, July 21, she explained how she’d developed her “five Ms” — “meditation,” “meds,” a “mentorship,” “mingling,” and “Megan Thee Stallion” — to help her through times.
“The stuff that is going on in your life, you did not ask for. You didn’t ask for any of this stuff. But not only are you taking what has been shoved up your butt, but you’re also doing life. Because you have to,” she added. “You may be able to distract me from my joy [but] you cannot have it.”
Jen and estranged husband Brian were married for just shy of 14 years before calling it quits in June. They share two sons, Ellis and Luke.
